This was my setup last Saturday evening. This is from a permanant box stand in my creek bottom. This is the best pinch point on my property. This photo is looking out the window on the left side of the stand. The X in the photo is where the deer cross a low spot in my neighbors barbed wire fence. The blue line is a small creek that never runs dry and the yellow area was a small pond at one time but is now just a bog. The deer cross the fence and then travel the six foot opening between the creek and the boggy area.
Then they walk right in front of my shooting window. The stump in this photo is at 17 yards. Mid October to mid November this is the best stand on my property.
Here are a couple that need to grow a little that cruised in front of this stand last fall.
This is what my best pinch point looked like in early July after a storm. Took a lot of work to get it opened back up for deer traffic.
I may be opinionated...but, my opinion is the only one that matters anyway.
Horton that looks like one heck of a spot. And after that storm all I see is alot of firewood.
