A photo of a pair of barred owls won the 2018 wildlife legacy stamp photo competition, and will appear on the 2019 Ohio Wildlife Legacy Stamp. By buying the Ohio Wildlife Legacy Stamp, you can directly impact the future of Ohio’s native animals. Proceeds support habitat restoration, endangered and threatened native species, wildlife and habitat research projects, and more. Get ready for next year's competition! We will be looking for photos of caterpillars - the larval stage of a butterfly or moth - native to Ohio. Native species are considered to be native only if they originated in their location naturally and without the involvement of human activity or intervention. Right now is the best time of year to find and photograph caterpillars.
