IF you have the time off the weekend for this one

    http://mosqcreek.com/coyote.html

you should look at maybe trying to get out there
there is always over 30 grand in the pot, and its state wide hunt in PA

I been in this one for many yrs now
the check in place is Pretty far yes, BUT way I play it is, IF I don't see anything BIG< I let em walk

two yrs ago I had a monster of a coyote in my sights, and Pretty sure I could have killed it,
but was a 500+ yrds out and 3+ ft of snow down in the bottom of a steep valley, and that Deep snow had that 1 inch of ice on top, that every step you ALMOST stayed on top
and I figured I would never get to it if I shot it, and get back out
with my bad knee's and back

SO< that was my closest to entering one to date
passed on a lot of small one's over the yrs
but last 3 yrs weather has been just BAD
last yr was -40 wind chills and again almost 3 ft of snow, Mostly powder, but still sucks walking in that deep, and then drifts up over 4-5 ft all over from all the High winds

    Bad calling weather for sure

HOPING This yr, we have better weather for a change

but its a heck of a contest with some BIG pot prizes

Folks in Ohio can enter too , just need a PA lic thats all!

    not that anyone cares LOL
but here are the results of the contest
pot got up over $41,000.00 this time
and a lucky winner , got a double whammy, as the heaviest kill was also a female, so he won heaviest kill and heaviest female, taking in a little over $16,500.00 with one kill!!
I never even seen one in about 28+ hrs of trying, second day I had 45+ MPH winds here so calling was almost a waste of time I think, also, all the snow melted 3 days prior to teh darn contest, which didn;'t help things

I did call in a few foxes and a few owls, but no coyotes, lots of sign, so was in the right place, just bad weather for calling! LOL

better luck next yr I guess< wish we had snow
