    Nice Buck Nov. 2

Well boys even the heat couldn't stop this ole man from wandering around during the early cool hours looking for ladies. Made the shot with the compound at 38 yards watched him drop within forty yards. Man was I blessed that morning. Hard spot to access but worth the hour walk in and two hour drag out. Thanks to my buddy Mike who helped me get him out.

PS. This deer has been named "Dan the Man" after a friends father who is dying of colon cancer. Fellas go see a doctor early it just might save your life. Dan was one of those great men that would give you the shirt off his back or last piece of food and go hungry himself. He loved deer hunting as much as the rest of us and will never get another chance to do it . Please keep him in your prayers.

Congrats! Looks like you are from LA - what part of Ohio did you get this nice buck? Even though our numbers are dropping, still a great state for whitetail.

Yeah when I saw him that morning all I saw was that left G2 and really good body so he was deemed a shooter off that. Didn't realize exactly what deer it was. We had been getting pics of him for several days but all middle of the night. I guess he was out for a late date night and he didn't make it home before the sun caught him slipping. Gotta love the rut.

    Thanks for the nice replys!
