    2014 Buck

I've been lurking in the weeds, keeping up with everyone's season so far, I didn't participate in the contest this year so I'll post my kill here.

I killed him Sunday morning at 7:40. He was checking scrapes. He is my biggest to date and as the saying goes...don't pass on one during the season that you wouldn't pass on the last day of the season. I was hoping my trail cam would catch the kill shot, but timing was off...so here is the last pic of him on the hoof...and some pics after his dirt nap.

Thanks guys, and yes I'm happy about that. Although the farm I hunt is bordered by other properties without a lot of hunting pressure...even during the gun season. I went in with the intentions of harvesting a doe, since my $15 tag expires Sunday..but he showed up and that was that. Guess I have this Sunday to use that tag or eat it since I work the next three days.
