    Didn't like finding this

Unfortunately I won't get to see what his 2014 rack looks like. Found him on my property while turkey hunting today. Hard winter and coyotes must have got him based on all the hair still left on the skull and the skull was still attached to the rest of the spine. Carcass was eat clean. I had a few exciting run-ins with this buck and lots of photos from the last 4 years. He is more impressive in person than in the photo. He would have been a dandy in 2014. 2013 rack was main frame 10 with G4 broke off early in spring 2013. Main beam mass very good all the way out. Also had a 2 inch kicker off his left base. Oh well.

Well it always sucks to see a good deer go like that, mother nature has its way
I found a small dead spike yesterday too, 2 inch antlers, no camera on me and just left it where it was
finding skulls, always makes me wonder the story of what really happened?
Be it a wound from a fight, a hunter/poacher, hit by a car? Coyotes? Fell
just gets the wheels turning for me when I find one

    Well that sucks
any chance you know the guys that hunt there? Maybe can ask about, and even maybe give them the rack, might be a kids first, that got away
check with your odcnr first, believe you have to get a permit/tag for dead skulls?

Finding dead deer after the season is always a bummer but its the natural way of things. Blackbeard I hope he passed his genes around.

More bad news. Found another dead buck on my property this morning, a decent 8 pt. Same situation, all the hair still left on the skull and the skull was still attached to the rest of the spine. I remember hearing the coyotes yelling from the exact location I found this buck about 2 months ago, right down the hollow from my house. This sucks.

Hate to see good bucks like that. We found one of our funky bucks a month or so ago too. Was really looking forward to seeing what he turned into this next season. Such a disappointment, especially not knowing how they die.

that's the higest I ever heard of them, told me so far this yr(2014) he killed over a 115
has like 8 dogs trained to hunt them, and hunts with a group of like 6-8 guys every weekend and ay off he gets??
