Thread: Bow Care.

    Bow Care.

I was shooting my bow today and as I pull back my d-loop slips and fires. Needless to say, I punched myself in the face. I want to get this fixed tomorrow because I am suppose to be shooting in a couple days and I want to practice. I work 7a-3. And was going to to get it looked at when I get off work. But I have always heard that it is never good to leave a bow in warmer to hot temps for a long period of time. Where I am at it will be around 80 as high. Do you guys think that my bow will be ok in the car for awhile till I get it looked at????

well 80 outside, can be 100+ inside a car
if you can leave the windows open some, that will help, but its not something I would suggest
I know personally 2 people that had bows melt down, ruined due to being in a car truck in the summer time, and one in a back seat of a buddy's 4 door truck
    so??
and if you haklf dry fired the bow when the loop let loose
be a good idea to have it all looked over, that can throw timing off and possibly crack a limb too
and play hell on a srting
so give it a close go over and even maybe paper shoot it to make sure its all trus and good

I hate to say it but I would say never leave it in your car under those temps!

Yep, I wouldn't do it either.
