does the state up your way tag a lot of the bears?
as if so if you ever get any and can see the tag number , here in PA we can call it in and get a bunch of info on the bear, pretty cool I think

That's a big bear. My partner and I baited in Rockingham Co and had no luck. We have seen bear over the yrs but nothing hit the bait. The season is short, and that Co. don't have that many bear. Did you get a chance at one?
what goes around, comes around. (I sure do hope so)!!
Love seeing the bear pics NHB!! Sure brings back memories!!
Opportunity is missed by most people because it is dressed in overalls and looks like work.

Hey Griz. Rockingham co is tough for bears. I was baiting up to the Whites this past year. Never got a shot this year. five or six years ago when I lived in Maine me and a few buddies baited up towards Rangely. We all got our bears that year. Tried again the next year. Bows that year. Had some come in but were skiddish and didnt get a shot. I want to shoot one with a bow then I am done with em.
talking about ear tags, from being tagged by the state
here in PA they tag a few hundred a yr, pull a tooth, age and weigh them, and take a DNA sample from them
they then keep records that if you either kill or get a tag number you can get history on that bear
its pretty cool
so over the yrs it adds p to a lot of history on many bears, as many both live pretty long(10+ yrs) and can travel many many miles up to a few hundred, on there own, some get moved for being trouble makers, and such, but its just a cool option if they tagged them in your state as here in PA
