Taxidermists are taking a beating on shipping and oil prices driving deer forms up+++++++++++

    $60.00 for a form + 20.00 shipping

    $8.00 for earliners

    $14.00 for eye's

$15.00 for preservative and other supplies that you need

    $117.00 for materials

and figure he has around 10+hrs. or so of his time in each mount,,taxidermists aren't getting rich

Last year I was somewhere between $350-$400. Don't know what this year will be. I haven't shot my buck yet though either, lol. Might be the first buckless year since the 2000 season.

$275.00 and the guy is great and is retired so I guess he does it more for the pleasure than money? Not complaining though. LOL

Wow, I have been paying $425.00 plus tax $28.69 total $453.69. I was meaning to post a new thread soon about taxidermist. I have shoulder mounted 3 bucks. The first one I got back 14 months later. Second one took him 17 months. Third one, I pushed him and got it back 12 months after dropping it off. I just don't think it should take this long. I probably won't be going back there anymore. If anyone knows a good one around central Ohio or Lancaster area I would appreciate it. I don't wanna run my taxidermist in the ground publicly but I am done with him. PM me if anyone can help out with a less expensive yet good one who is a little better with their time. I think mine is just lazy and I really don't think he is even doing them. I think he farms it out to other people which pisses me off and I can't prove it. I have showed up before and asked to look at its progress and he always says well it's not here. Its at home, not the shop. Oh well
If there were 8 days in a week I would hunt 8 days

Bills Taxidermy in Atwater on Unger Road. He's been $320.00 OTD for years and does awesome work. His most famous buck is prolly the Jeff McCulley Buck (257 4/8) killed in Summit County in 2010. The deer and mount was featured in NAW. Great guy and does outstanding work.
