    Unique kill and unique buck

I say for over four hours and saw nothing. The landowner on this farm built his house about 400 yards back in a ravine. I dropped my bow and hacks off near the end of the driveway and road so I could just pick it up on my way out. As I was walking down the driveway a buck was standing on te hill staring at me. I kept walking like I didn't notice him, but it was crazy how close we were. I grabbed the landowner and said grab your crossbow, there's a nice one waiting for you down the lane! We strolled up the driveway and sure enough he was still here...with a doe somehow I didn't see before. So I told him to stop walking whenever he had a shot and I'd keep walking. Worked like a charm. He smoked his guy at 30 yards strain right at us. Amazing how they trow caution to he wins when they are locked down with a hot doe. Click image for larger version.

Crazy enough, some boys from Tennessee were in hunting and the one kid shot this same buck yesterday! Big rage hole through the top of his back strap. Even with that the only thing he was concerned about was that doe

You most definetly have an advantage when you live among them. Right place at the right time for sure. Tell him congrats.
