    Nov 4rth 10 Point

Sunday November 4, 2012. Just turned the clocks back an hour so I decided to go out about noon. It was a really nice day to be in the trees. North wind at about 9mph. This North wind has allowed me to spend 5 great days in an area that normally I would stay out of. It paid off... I have been watching this and several other bucks for the past 3 days chasing does all over the cut corn field, always after 4 pm. Over a dozen does in the field at a time, but nothing coming in and creating a scent trail to my stand. I almost moved, almost.......but decided to stick it out with some good advice from a good hunting buddy. I stayed in the same stand 5 days, and it finally happened. There is a better buck walking this ground, but when 3 does came into 18 yards and this dude was on a rail, head down, and grunting the whole way in, I thought to myself, who am I kidding, I am not Lee lackosky, shoot that Buck. He gave me the shot at 18 yards, He was quartering pretty hard, but he gave me a shoulder to lean on. He piled up 40 yards still in site. Game over!! It was a super exciting 5 days of pure hunting....leaving all the doo dads and gadgets at home and got back to basics. Alot of Thanks go out again to all the people who have helped me fine tune my shooting skills and built my confidence in making that kill shot. And way too go Redneck Ross, Pete, and Doug!! Very productive hunting season!! Good luck to all out there hunting hard......cant kill em if you aint out there!! Seeker BP 2012/13 Team GutpileClick image for larger version.

Thats a dandy for sure, congrats. You would have regretted letting him walk.
I may be opinionated...but, my opinion is the only one that matters anyway.
