Is this the same deer...? Is he in decline?

I have a pic from January 2012 (last years Rack) and one I just got last week... I am thinking this is the same deer... with a worse rack.. Age? Love to hear from the experts on whether or not you think it is? And why?

Taken in exact same location... 9 months in between..

If that's the same deer his rack character has changed completely befor the tips of his antlers were pointing up and the other deers are not I don't think it's the same deer

i dont think thats the same deer either...way too many characteristics are different

i dont think it is either...the second one has a longer head and the antlers on the second one have alot less mass, and i dont see one losing that much mass in one year

I agree with everyone else, not the same deer. The most recent one's main beams turn in and the brow tines start up much further. Everything is just too different.

I say no too, looks like a a different younger deer to me
