New Memeber From Central OHIO

Just wanted to say hello to everyone. I just bought a Horton brotherhood crossbow. I am currently over sees with the ohio national gaurd and cannot wait to get home and try my hand at bow hunting. I grew up in columbus and have never hunted on a regular basis. Luckly i married well and Have access to private land now surrounded by Wayne National forest. I will be on leave in early OCT and maybe into Nov. So some early season bowhunting is in my future. I am a novice when it comes to hunting. Allthough Being attached to an infantry unit for as long as i have i am very familiar with the woods. i hope those skills will help me in my quest to bag a big Buck. I look forward to gaining knowlege and tactics from this forum.

Welcome! I am still a newbie in the hunting world... have only a couple of years under my belt with a bow (crossbow), and have learned a great deal from some of the veterans on this site. I have yet to take my first Buck, but I enjoy the planning, scouting, camp, and just being in the woods so much - that I think I would hunt the rest of my life even if I never got the "trophy". welcome Doc, Get home safe.... Good luck this season,sounds like you have a great spot to hunt..Several hunts to Wayne National has netted us Great Freeezer Fillers. Hunt Hard, and Shoot Straight........Seeker BP
