Where rubber boots and tuck your pants into your boots, or wear boots and tape your pants tightly around your boots, tuck in your shirt, spray bug spray around your ankles and waist. Scratch the sores until they bleed then apply nail polish or something else. They may have been seed ticks (immature ticks the size of the head of a pen).

OK got this from buddies that hunt in NJ and have a bad time with them

over the yrs they tried lots of things, and said they wear nylons, pantyhose on there legs and arms, claim that wouks great,
and not too hot and well, they cannot bite you through them they claim!

you can buy permothine at most wally worlds too, its in a lot of bug sprays, just read up on the percentages, go as heavy as you like, but that stuff isn't all that good for you!
they actually sell cans of it in 100% too if you look!
