yes they will eat them when ever they can get them
my tree's here are dry too, the few they have been dropping and are gone by morning every day!
Will deer eat green (unrippened) apples? With the dry weather I have seen a few trees that were loaded but dropping alot of apples already. Didnt look to be much bigger than golf balls. I was gonna pick them up but didnt know if it was a waste of time or not!
Thanks Guys!

I agree, they will eat them. But, I think they like them to be ripe because of the sweetness. I would guess that due to the dry conditions they may be having a hard time finding food that they like, so the green apples are the best thing in the area. I don't think they would make a good attractaint once it rains and the grass softens up, or the acorns start falling.
You got 3 seconds to get out of my house or die trying.
Feed them for sure, they'd rather have them ripe but they love'm anytime.

But what they represent, however, is flesh and blood - fathers and sons, friends spending time with friends and the the seasons of life when the people we love were still with us. These old antlers on the wall...well, take a seat, my friend, and I'll tell you all about them." -Rev. Zeke Pipher
