I shot this buck last fall. It had hooves like I've never seen. The terrain it lived on was clay, rocks with swampy areas. Does a deers diet make hooves grow like this? I wish its horns grew bigger than its feet did. It didn't walk weird or anything

don't recall what causes that or if they even said,
but I recall a few hunting magazines that had deer with feet like that
I think it had to do with injuries! but could be wrong
did you save them??
would have been cool to make a gun rack out of them
I use to raise goats and their hooves would grown like that if you didn't trim them. I always heard that corn made their hooves grow faster. Thanks for sharing.
"...the deepest, most permanent features of all great moments outside are the names, faces, descriptions, and emotions. The antlers on the wall...well, they're just bones affixed to boards. But what they represent, however, is flesh and blood - fathers and sons, friends spending time with friends and the the seasons of life when the people we love were still with us. These old antlers on the wall...well, take a seat, my friend, and I'll tell you all about them." -Rev. Zeke Pipher
