well I am not from Ohio
but I don't hunt them this time of yr
due to , welll they have there young this time of yr, and to be honest, just too hot and too many darn bugs that like to take blood off of me

I tend to hunt them in fall and winter olny, spring and summer, I leave them be!!

but I would think if your trying to put a dent in there population, now is teh time to kill them

as taking out the parents could lead to a litter going down

I hunt them all year long with no regard for them or their young. I show them the same mercy that they show the fawns...none. As long as it's not too hot...in the upper 60s or low 70s, I'm out there and shooting on sight.

I used a 12 gauge shotgun that's patterned out to 50 yards. Anything that thinks it's out of range will have to eat lead from my .25-06, that's sitting on a bi-pod, next to me.
