    One bird down and one more to go.

    I nailed a jake April 24th. He weighed 17 pounds, had a 4 1/2 inch beard, and 1/2 inch spurs. I will be going after #2 on Monday the 30th. My compound is in the shop so I cheated and used my Remington 870 12 gauge. Here are a few pictures.

    congratulations, tough year around here so killing a bird is an achievement.
