    Its manditory in my state NH. I took it back in 1971. Isn't that a laugh!!

    I got my license the year before the hunter's safety course was required. I did take it with kids though.

    I started hunting before it was required, but my son needed it so we took it together

    took it twice once when I started hunting and again when the wife started hunting.
