    Turkey Time Approaching!!

It is drawing close....Turkey time. The blinds are set, the turkeys are roaming by out of the roost, and I have been shooting from a chair for two weeks....Pumped up and ready to smoke a big tom!! We have our eye on one giant tom roaming the ground.....and he seems to be real comfortable walking in at 17 yards. See if he feels the same on opening day!! We have a couple of those sasquatch blinds set up in various places, and boy are they nice and roomy. Will keep you posted!! Good luck to all the Gobbler hunters out there! Seeker BP

Your lucky to be able to put your blinds out early and leave them. Here I hunt mostly public land and can't take the chance they won't be there when I hunt. So I set it up the night before or the same morning. Its still works well, just alot to carry at one time.
The turkeys are vocal this year and it looks like it will be a good season. Good luck!
what goes around, comes around. (I sure do hope so)!!

turkeys here were gobbling very hard since mid feb. here , started real early
last two weeks have been kind of quiet, but weather got cold again here
even have a few turkeys that come in the yard every day, all hens and no gobble with them anymore, he was with them for about two weeks every day
must have moved through them and on the hunt for more LOL

think its going to be a tuff season here from them starting so early and the early green up going on now!! makes for harder hunts if you ask me, throws sounds about and not as far!

    but ?? still fun!

Man it sure sounds like you have a great plan to nail him Seeker! I know some people say that you can just pop up a blind and hunt turkeys successfully but any bird that's been around the block can be hard to kill that way. Getting your stuff out early and having it brushed in is certainly the way to go!! Man I simply cannot wait for that text saying you nailed him!!!!!
