    Found a nice shed today the brow tine and mass say 3-4 year old deer but the main beam and g2 and g3 say 2 year old it also has a nontypical point on the inside of it's main beam

    ohiobuckhunter can you give us all some advice on where you find most of these? fields, hardwoods, creek bottoms,ext. ? i have only shed hunted a few times in my life with no luck.

    My best advice is walk walk some more and walk even more. I find most of my sheds in overgrown fields and thick bedding areas that is close to a good winter food source. I also find a lot of them on the trails from the bedding to the food. Here are a few tips to help you out look for them at 3-4 feet from your feet not at a distance it is hard to stay focused when you are starring straight at the ground for hours at a time but to be successful at finding sheds you have to tain yourself to do it. Also don't try to look for the whole antler try focusing on looking for the curve of the main beam or the tips of the times oh and did I mention walk walk and walk some more
