I agree with Mrbb. The good bucks are in the corn. I will hunt the edges of it when I get out.
How do you remove a stand that has grown into a tree or do you think put some safety straps on it and hunt it great location during rut

This stand was one...
honestly, JUST leaving the straps out all yr is BAD for them, they dry from the sun and then the UV issue's
they become brittle, SO< to be honest, they should be replaced every yr
all the more so...
Good reminder. Also a good idea to loosen those straps at the end of the season to prevent the tree stand from growing into the tree. Back out those screws in steps and bow hangers a turn or two...
I have one but I haven't needed to use it yet thankfully. For the money it is a decent looking decoy and the flocked finish is nice. Big and bulky, a little noisy to assemble. Not a DSD decoy but...
The deer on my lease change their movement based on the crop rotation. The more interesting bucks always seem to be in close proximity to the corn.
Congrats guys, keep em coming!
I still have stands to hang. I hope the get out in the next couple of weeks. I'm just starting to get pictures of interesting bucks.
I bought a smoker for my clothes last season but just can't bring myself to do it.
I like to be in my tree no later than an hour before sunrise.
WOW, very nice.
very nice.
Great looking bucks!
Nice Pics. I'll pass on the bear pics. I have about 3000 raccoon pictures so far......
Well I'm pretty sure its illegal to bait on public land in OH but since I've never hunted public land for deer I may be mistaken. It is a private lease, hunted by me and random trespassers.
Red stuff was apples, yellow stuff is corn. It is a great spot.
I agree it is hard to tell from the video if it was a hit or miss. I also agree with your assessment on the quartering. Yes the small buck was the intended target. After the shot and the deer ran...
Find him no, see him on camera pretty regular since then.

I have two Gopro's that I just started playing with at the end of the season. The images are pretty decent and mounting options are great. That being said Campbell...
I'm looking for a deer hunting lease in Huron or surrounding counties. Turkey and waterfowl opportunities a plus. I appreciate any leads.
I have two trail cameras that I have set up and moved around all summer. All the work I have done has yielded a picture of one forkhorn buck and several does. Should I read anything into this? I...
Very good up in Huron County
Not even close to ready. I have a couple stand locations picked out I just need to get out when the conditions are right and start hanging some. Been shooting a few nights a week and feel very good...
I have 2 of the day 6 plot watchers and I just ordered a third. It's a great way to pattern your deer and scout stand locations. Yes the long range resolution isn't great but it tells me what I...
