I do not personally understand the thought process around shooting a ton of does before rut. During the rut u hunt the doe groups. Those doe groups r what attracts roaming bucks to your property.

no...I want as many does on and around my property as possible through mid-Nov. Therefore, I plan to make my place nice and quiet. I might go down and make sure I have no sneekies coming in on me.
big woods deer can be tough to find their bedding.....so I basically made their own bed....I set aside the middle of my property as off limits to hunting/human entry. It's a nasty thick creek bottom...
been a member of BHO for sometime now. Never had an issue. Go to the other site and voice your opinion and you become an AH. Tell it the way it is and people can't take it. That's fine...don't need...
Hmmmm...must have hit a nerve huh? Fact stands...if I ever met jackalope in person I would tell him just what I think of him. He sure has no problems telling me over the internet.
Looks can be...
i have found if you burn them good with gly a couple times a summer the carpet rots away and you have nothing but bare dirt. Some of my best plots I simply sprayed 2-3x a summer and then broadcasted...
would much rather visit this website than ohiooutdoors. The people on there think they are gods gift to hunting and they worship a certain individual. Makes me sick. Would love to meet jackalope in...
I have a like new in box hs strut woody jake decoy. This decoy has been used only one time in the field last year. After doing a google search this decoy is being sold new from $59.99-$89.99...

Hunting all day sunday after this front moves out and if the weather cooperates I will be hunting Nov 2 and 3 and then again on the 9 and 10. Hopefully by Nov 2 that hurricane is moved out of the...
Yep! Hitting it hard all day sunday. Sunday will be my bow opener. Sunday morning I will tuck up against a thick creek bottom thicket where does bed and in the eve I plan to hunt some trails leading...
I like it.......
if I were to hunt opening day this year it would be over water since there has been a lack of it. My opening day usually isn''t until Oct 20ish.
If I'm not mistaken doesn't the forest trail mix have a large % of rye grass in it? I personally can't stand rye grass.......there are better options.
Plot looks good though!
I have read on-line that the 3 blades fixed BH are more accurate out of a xbow due to the fact on a bolt there are three vanes. I currently shoot a 4 blade slick trick. I get decent groups out to...
That is why I typically plant clover, chicory, cereal grains (rye, oats) and brassicas. Not to mention they are cheap to plant unlike corn.
None of my plots are over an acre so I typically just use my 4 gallon BP sprayer to spray when necessary. The #'s are got are off the product label. You can use this over chicory, turnips and rape to...
I've always been told not to plant corn and beans unless you have atleast 3-5 acres to work with. Especially in high deer density areas. Hopefully everything works out for you
clethodim and crop oil.........if using a back pack sprayer mix about .5 oz of cleth per gallon of water and 1.3 oz of crop oil per gallon of water. I just sprayed my clover plots last weekend.
It's tough.......especially in the counties you mentioned above...IF you do gain access to a property go in knowing there is a good chance others hunt the same property. The days of knocking on doors...
The only planting I will be doing is continue planting a gobblers behind on the ground.....can't stand spring plots too many weed issues. I won't start planting unti mid august when I till up some...
