I am headed out this afternoon and then hunting the next four days in Muskingum County, Ohio. I saw my big wide Hartford Insurance Deer in the flesh in daylight on Tuesday evening for the first time....
I do not... nothing against others for doing it. I just enjoy the thrill of smoking an old nanny more than a yearling.
Still have not made it out. All of my bucks on camera are in the dark... going to wait for first frost.
I have had some good trail camera pics of decent bucks... most recently I got this tall-tined guy three nights in a row. I will try to upload a few pics of three different bucks..1133011330

Finally got an opportunity at a good mature buck. He walked by edge of woods and was about 100yds. Away. I grunted him in when he saw a young spike under my tree.

I hunted hard the last two days... last night the deer were really moving. Passed on a decent 8 and a smaller 6 that were actually underneath me. Saw 17 deer total between morning and evening hunts....
Pep... we need to talk about a black bear hunt. I killed one with my bow in Canada two years ago, but it sounds like you are seeing them. Maybe we could work out a trade ;)
