Congrats on a very nice deer! I cant believe some a-hole is out shooting at a deer with a .22!
Btw, what kind of broadhead are you using? I used Muzzys for years but just shot a doe last night with a Rage and it looked like a murder crime scene with all the blood in the snow. I was really impressed! I might be making the switcheroo
I used a rage 2" cut crossbow head
and It made a hole just nothing came out!
never seen that before complete pass through too! arrow was covered, just didn't come out after wards
snow saved me for sure, but I still would have found this one due to where he fell
Congrats on a very nice buck....outstanding
Gotta love them late seson kills, congrats
Nice Buck mrbb! Congrats!
Nice job Mrbb! Glad to see someone still at it like myself and happy to see you get one. That is a great deer. Congrats!
Good lookin buck, Stan. You did the right thing and should feel good about it.
To bad the idiots shooting the .22 weren't caught in the act.
Enjoyed the story and a nice buck. I would of had a tough time passing on him even if he was not limping. I envey you guys who still have a season. My ended on the 15th of Dec.
Nice story...glad you were able to recover him with little blood trail. Freakin poachers!!!
Thnaks Guys
My local warden isn't much help
and its too Bad too
as almost everyone in this area knows what going on, its no secret
just no help to stop it here, been like this for a long time too
but what can you do?
I enjoyed that story. I believe you did the right thing. Last year my 12 had a 38 cal in his spine. Makes ya wonder. Nice story and nice buck. Congrats
congrats thats a very nice buck.
Real nice buck with some great character mrbb!! Congrats on the kill and you did the right thing since some idiots made the choice for you by wounding him. Other than hearing he was wounded he sure looked healthy.
He is a nice looking deer congrats. Like others have said I can't believe someone is out there shooting them with a .22
Congrats on a great looking buck mrbb!!
Congrats on a great late season buck
Great job! Nothing in my opinion, is more impressive then getting a deer this late in the season. Nice buck!
Nice Buck for sure.... but I could see how you wanted to give him another year.... he could have been a beast! You certainly made the right call by taking him. Congrats and thanks for sharing the story....
great buck congrads
well again thanks Guys
I am almost sure he might have made it another yr even with the bullets, as they were just in meat more or less and not any vitals, but just never know what infection or what can happen in time
and at the time I didn't know that ?? didn't see what the issue was till the hide came off!
so I'm glad to been able to harvest him, a great buck for my area, to be honest, 120 class bucks are far and few up this way, too many trigger happy folks that just want to eb able to say they killed a buck, even if it a yearling!
But sure would have really like to seen what he could have been, next yrif he made it,
but I think you feel that way any buck you shoot LOL, or I do anymore!
sad thing is I was out today and my best buck I know of still at the farm,
was limping tonight too ??
so its a like a WTH , dam cheaters are my biggest problem here!
Just sucks,
I'm hoping he makes it,
as he is the only 4 yr old I know of I have left this yr, nothing but two 3 yr olds left I know of now,
and all rest are younger bucks, a bunch of them, but all very far off from making it to what I would like!
and I started off this yr with my most 3.5 + yr olds ever too!, but seems they all didn't make it??
But Oh well, what can you do?
awesome deer. I have had two deer do just like you described. One never went out of sight, and the other I could track in the wet leaves. congratulations.
congrats Stan, glad to see you got one, and he's a nice one.
thanks Guys
