Hi All here is a test i did using the sonic pro 100 grains 1" cut shot at a 1x4 shooting a mathews lx set at 65 pounds @ 25 yards.I was verry impressed by how well it did i knew it would do great but i was again blown away there is no doubt the sonics penetrate anything in the wild you will shoot at.

I plan on giving the buckmasters a try.

I tried the Buckmasters broadheads this year, they flew great in the yard but I choked three times early in October and missed deer with all of them and dulled the three broadheads I had. As soon I get close to a place to buy replacement blades I am going to try them again in late season.

Next year I think I'm going to make a change. I want to get everything set up better on my bow and try shooting out past 40 yards more.

I now have a new package of Sonic 125's that a fellow in Higginsport, Ohio gave me. Even though I don't shoot 125 grain I'm gonna see how much different they fly than my 100 grain and probably bring them to the campout to use. Anybody have any guess on how much diff from 100 grain heads? I'm assuming I will shoot a little low with them.

Good Stuff! I did try one of these heads at a target a few times last summer and they flew great. Any word on whether or not they'll venture into the mechanical market?

if i had to guess i would say no, what they put on the market now is top-notch(IMO)!!! but with the way companies expand these days, they may test the expandable broadhead market... who knows!!!

I have a few more packages of buckmaster heads and will be using them exclusively this fall, can't wait.

Any one notice any difference in performance between the pro 100's and the buckmaster 100's? I am thoroughly happy with the results of the buckmasters. Top notch heads and I won't be changing anytime soon.

Blackbeard I too bought some of the 125 grains heads, as Gander Mt had them on sale half price so i bought a 2 dozen,
I used to shoot 125's, then went to 100's a long time ago.
I shot the 125's this summer to see how they fly compared to the 100's, and out of my set up, only about an inch or less out to 40 yards!( nothing at 20 yards)
what you need to watch is your arrow with the heavier heads, some shafts just don't like heavier heads, and can fly funny!,
mostly carbons, from what i have heard. But I shoot xx78's, and the same shaft size as i always did!
just so you know!
I am sure others might know more on that than me!

I killed my buck this year with a sonic, but was a little dissapointed with the fact that it lost 2 of the 3 blades on its trip through the animal.
