Most lepidopteron - moths and butterflies - caterpillars, including many with hairs and spines, do not present a threat. The bottom line is that unless the hairy or bristly caterpillar is identified as innocuous, don't handle them. It's best to err on the side of caution.http://feeds.feedburner.com/~ff/OdnrDivisionOfWildlife?d=yIl2AUoC8zA (http://feeds.feedburner.com/~ff/OdnrDivisionOfWildlife?a=0J6tu_z8_1Q:_0zLXB1vl5I:y Il2AUoC8zA) http://feeds.feedburner.com/~ff/OdnrDivisionOfWildlife?i=0J6tu_z8_1Q:_0zLXB1vl5I:V _sGLiPBpWU (http://feeds.feedburner.com/~ff/OdnrDivisionOfWildlife?a=0J6tu_z8_1Q:_0zLXB1vl5I:V _sGLiPBpWU) http://feeds.feedburner.com/~ff/OdnrDivisionOfWildlife?d=qj6IDK7rITs (http://feeds.feedburner.com/~ff/OdnrDivisionOfWildlife?a=0J6tu_z8_1Q:_0zLXB1vl5I:q j6IDK7rITs) http://feeds.feedburner.com/~ff/OdnrDivisionOfWildlife?i=0J6tu_z8_1Q:_0zLXB1vl5I:g IN9vFwOqvQ (http://feeds.feedburner.com/~ff/OdnrDivisionOfWildlife?a=0J6tu_z8_1Q:_0zLXB1vl5I:g IN9vFwOqvQ)
