Hummingbirds have 4 toes. 3 toes in the front and 1 toe in the back, called the hallux. The hallux works much the same way a human's thumb does and allows the hummingbird to hang on to a branch or wire.http://feeds.feedburner.com/~ff/OdnrDivisionOfWildlife?d=yIl2AUoC8zA (http://feeds.feedburner.com/~ff/OdnrDivisionOfWildlife?a=j6glGu2OCpk:NE-aXCVfOfU:yIl2AUoC8zA) http://feeds.feedburner.com/~ff/OdnrDivisionOfWildlife?i=j6glGu2OCpk:NE-aXCVfOfU:V_sGLiPBpWU (http://feeds.feedburner.com/~ff/OdnrDivisionOfWildlife?a=j6glGu2OCpk:NE-aXCVfOfU:V_sGLiPBpWU) http://feeds.feedburner.com/~ff/OdnrDivisionOfWildlife?d=qj6IDK7rITs (http://feeds.feedburner.com/~ff/OdnrDivisionOfWildlife?a=j6glGu2OCpk:NE-aXCVfOfU:qj6IDK7rITs) http://feeds.feedburner.com/~ff/OdnrDivisionOfWildlife?i=j6glGu2OCpk:NE-aXCVfOfU:gIN9vFwOqvQ (http://feeds.feedburner.com/~ff/OdnrDivisionOfWildlife?a=j6glGu2OCpk:NE-aXCVfOfU:gIN9vFwOqvQ)
