A rare species in Ohio, but found occasionally in southern counties, is the black widow spider as pictured here. The male black widow is smaller than the female and does not pose any risk to humans, but the female’s bite can be serious and medical attention is required.http://feeds.feedburner.com/~ff/OdnrDivisionOfWildlife?d=yIl2AUoC8zA (http://feeds.feedburner.com/~ff/OdnrDivisionOfWildlife?a=V3IEcbTa8Vg:CKodPy8j288:y Il2AUoC8zA) http://feeds.feedburner.com/~ff/OdnrDivisionOfWildlife?i=V3IEcbTa8Vg:CKodPy8j288:V _sGLiPBpWU (http://feeds.feedburner.com/~ff/OdnrDivisionOfWildlife?a=V3IEcbTa8Vg:CKodPy8j288:V _sGLiPBpWU) http://feeds.feedburner.com/~ff/OdnrDivisionOfWildlife?d=qj6IDK7rITs (http://feeds.feedburner.com/~ff/OdnrDivisionOfWildlife?a=V3IEcbTa8Vg:CKodPy8j288:q j6IDK7rITs) http://feeds.feedburner.com/~ff/OdnrDivisionOfWildlife?i=V3IEcbTa8Vg:CKodPy8j288:g IN9vFwOqvQ (http://feeds.feedburner.com/~ff/OdnrDivisionOfWildlife?a=V3IEcbTa8Vg:CKodPy8j288:g IN9vFwOqvQ)
