Yep a fisher. I saw one a few years ago hunting and it confused the heck out of me until I looked it up. Not a common sight in PA woods.

You are all correct, it is a fisher
I have several here at the have, even a river otter shows up from time to time, there funny critters to watch if you ever get the chance, they always look like there playing with how they move about, rolling and climbing things, to me it seems for no reason, other than having fun at times
cool critters

Over the years I have trapped a few of them. Even lived trapped them for the state to give to I believe WV in exchange for live turkeys. Its a short season here in NH with limits of 2 up to 5 in some years. I haven't set a trap in over 10 yrs. I do miss it.

never been a trapper, but the farm I am on, all the owners were for 50+ yrs, and they got tons of these things and about any fur animal you can name
being I have a bigger stream and a pond and few smaller streams on the property, I get all sorts of critter here, even an otter every so often
these fishers can be terrible on fish killing, a few yrs back they about cleaned the pond out!, had a bunch of them that yr
I love watching them run about, same with minks and other like critters, every thing they do seems like play time to me, they roll, slide, climb, so many times for what seems like no reason at all, other than they enjoy it!
lots of folks sneak in and trap too, yrs back many had access, but when I took over I stopped it, my bird dog was about yr round and didn;t like the idea of traps in unknown spots
over the yrs since I been there I found a bunch of traps, all got smashed
not against trapping, just not big into trespassers in any sort LOl so traps found, not go back to owners
only trapping I would allow, now would be for beavers, they just do too ch damage, but seems the dam beavers have been too smart for the trapers I have brought in, in 5 yrs now of letting a few, 30+ yrs trappers , not a one has managed to trap a single beaver for me!
they go around over under there traps like pro's , smart ass beavers here!
only good thing is, every few yrs, the coyotes get them, another reason I don't kill coyotes much!, they help me out with things like this! LOL

Thats a fisher. The first time I saw one I had to look up what it was. I originally thought it was someones over fed ferret that got out.
