I'm not sure how many tags I have left? I'm in zone C and I killed a doe and a buck with my bow before gun season, tagged both deer in on landowner tags. My question is does the doe I already killed count as one of my 3 tags that are good throughout the season, or did it count toward one of the "bonus" antlerless tags that expire at the start of gun season? I've read the rules, doesn't really say for sure that I could find. Any help?

Bds9, I do believe that if you kill before the shotgun season, and you landowner tag the Doe, it counts as your 15.00 special doe tag. Your buck Tag is hit.....I believe that you can buy the 24.00 dollar tag and still hunt a doe. You can e-mail the wildohio.com site and get an answer in the morning. I have used that site to get accurate info often.

Thanks seeker! I'm gonna give it a shot. I'm thinking the same as you but my buddy asked me about it and he wasn't sure either. So I figured id better ask before I go out and try to shoot two more does!! Either way I know I have at least one doe tag which is all I need but I have a friend who is wanting me to get him a doe as well so an extra tag would be nice.

The way I understand it is that your landowner doe would be on a antlerless permit which was legal from 9/29-11/25. Those three tags and your buck tag are no longer valid. After 11/25 you would have had the either sex permits that are valid until the end of bow season. But, since you took the buck you should have two legal does still available as landowner tags or by buying two $24 either sex tags. Thats how I see it, but I could be wrong.

Your right Hortontoter, because he has only taken two deer total, he has two 24.00 tags available. And again, if you ever have questions about the rules and regs, that WILDOHIO.COM website has a great communications program. I had questions about wether Luminocks and lighted nocks were legal in Ohio, and I recieved confirmation next day. Your getting the correct answers instead of guessing, then learning the hard way.

Thanks guys, that's what I was thinking but I wanna make sure before I go out and shoot two more! Seeker I emailed wildohio last night, no response yet but I'd bet with it being gun season they are quite busy. I will post what they tell me once I get a response. Thanks again!
