I have a hoyt powerhawk. It is 2 years old and a great bow, I shoot carbonexpress arrows out of it, with a HHA site.

I am thinking about the element or a mathews z7extreme.

What are you all shooting?

I shoot a Martin Trophy Hunter. Great bow, reasonably priced. I cant see spending a fortune on a bow. I saw a local outfitter advertise the new Hoyt for $1299. How crazy is that....

I shoot a Hoyt. Yah there high end bow is 1300.00. Most of us can't afford that. But they have other options, like the Vector or CRX. A good pro shop that stocks all the bows is the best place to start. Just shoot them all and make an educated decision. You can't go wrong with a Hoyt.
I,m not nocking any other brand. Try them too. Your safest thing to do is not go to a big box store, stay with a good pro shop.

I hunt with a crossbow now...Excalibur. But if the mood strikes i fling some arrows every now and then with my old Mathews Q2XL. Still a good shooter. But these new bows (have shot Hoytt and Mathews new bows over the last few years) are just amazing.

I held the z7 and I love the feel of it, I also love the feel of the hoyt. 1300 is a lot of money, but I have saved up a lot, and I think buying a great bow is worth is specially cause either of those bows your going to have forever!

I shoot a Hoyt viper tech. I have shot the z7 extreme tactical and I thought it shot vey well but was kinda heavy. I would love to get the new hoyt carbon element but I'm sure the wife would shoot me with it.

Our team will all be shooting Obsession Bows this year. They are super fast all models over 335 fps and doesn't sacrifice accuracy with a 7 inch brace height. Plus Dennis Lewis the owner is one of the nicest people I have ever talked to. Call them today and they will set you up! Tell them City Boyz sent you! www.obsessonbows.com

Great thread everyone.Interesting to see what others are shooting.
I just got a Bear Carnage, heading back to my roots when I started out in the 70"s with a Bear Kodiak.Only have put about 100 arrows through it so far,but am very impressed.Silent and quick. Also have a Hoyt Vectrix for my back-up bow.Looking forward to hopefully using it in your great state this year.Good shootin!
