Mike F, was curious to know if making hard apple or pear cider is simpler to do than making wine? Was thinking of trying it, if it's not all that hard. Also what's the best way for us guys up in NE Ohio to get our hands on some of your wine??

Mike F
04-15-2011, 07:22 PM
I haven't done any hard cider, so I can't say as to what it takes to make it.
But if you need some wine, we can ship it.
So just call or email the wife and she can take care of ya.
Thanks, Mike

My wife, and 9 year old boy are my regular crew. Sat. I had a couple of friends come over and help, along with a 28 ton crane.

Mike that is truely impressive!!! Now when your old and gray you can sit back and tell your grand kids how you built your winery with your own hands. Not to mention if your kids ever complain about doing chores, you can point to the building " hey if I can do that you can cut the grass!LOL.......though it looks like you got your son on the right track as far as working goes!!

Mike F

There are a lot of factors that go into it, but somewhere around 5 to 10 bottles per plant.

I know how I feel when the garden hose or an electric cord doesn't cooperate!!! Great thing you have some very good friends to help you out when you needed it along the way! I've skipped around the door, because the new front door is a week late getting here. Should be here next Wed. I have a lift coming tomorrow, so I can finish up the roof and side the gable ends.
