Once you have successfully uploaded your pictures to the BowhuntingOhio Trophy Room you can then post them in your thread topics on the forum. To get the picture to show up in your thread/post you will want to do the following:

First off, start two windows or tabs of Internet Explorer, Firefox or whatever you use to surf the internet. Use one to go to the forum where you want to make your thread and start a new one. On the other window go to the BowhuntingOhio Trophy Room and find the picture you want to post.

Click on it there. The picture should load with the photo details below it.

Scroll to the bottom just above the Quick Reply section and you will see three different code listings:

Direct Link Code:
BB Image Code:
<img> Tag Code:

I recommend using the "Direct Link Code:" which will allow the whole picture to show up in your post. The "BB Image Code:" will allow you to post only a thumbnail picture in your post and once someone clicks on it the BHO Trophy Room page will pop up and bring up that picture in a separate tab.

To copy the "Direct Link Code:" you will need to highlight the code in the box to the right, then right mouse click over the highlighted code and select "Copy" as shown below:

Once you have selected "Copy" you will then want to return to the tab or browser where you have your new thread ready to go.

In order to get the BHO Trophy Room picture to show up in your post you will need to click on the "Insert Image" button at the top of where you will type the wording in your post as shown here:

Once you click on the icon the following will appear:

This is where you will then right mouse click in the box over the blue highlighted "http://" and "Paste" the "Direct Link Code:" you copied earlier.

Once you "Paste" it then click the OK button and the image should appear in your thread.

Hope that helps!!

Here is another way to do it just within the post you are making. If you have your post in the Advanced format and if you scroll down below the typing area for your post you see the Additional Options you can add pictures from there.

http://www.bowhuntingohio.com/forum/gallery/files/3/2/6/attachments-in-bho_trophy_room_1.jpg

Click on the Manage Attachments button and the following will appear:

http://www.bowhuntingohio.com/forum/gallery/files/3/2/6/attachments-in-bho_trophy_room_2.jpg

Click on the Browse button and search on your computer for the picture file you are looking for.

Once you select it and then click "Upload" it should then upload to the website and it should show up in your post like this:

Towards the top you should see Forum Actions (New Posts - Private Messages - FAQ - Calendar - Community - Forum Actions - Quick Links)

Click on there and then you should see Edit Profile

On the left column under My Settings - My Profile - Edit Avatar

You can try uploading from your computer or you can upload the picture to the Trophy Room and enter the URL to it. It may take you a few tries to get the picture to the size needed to upload for an Avatar. My suggestion is to save the picture separately on your computer, open it using Paint and then go to Image - then Stretch and Skew to slowly down size your picture until it uploads successfully. Keep giving it a try by attempting to upload directly, resize and save, upload...etc. If you have trouble then you can send me a PM and I can try to give you a hand.
